Call-In Day To Support the National Criminal Justice Commission Act September 11, 2010

Posted by FairSentencing in : Current News , trackback

On Wednesday, September 15, FAMM will join people from across the country in a national call-in day urging Congress to pass S. 714, the National Criminal Justice Commission Act. Please join us!

S. 714 would create a bipartisan commission to review current criminal justice policies and make recommendations for system-wide reform. FAMM believes the commission will find that any comprehensive reform of our criminal justice system must include eliminating mandatory minimum sentencing laws.

The bill made it out of the Senate Judiciary Committee in early 2010 and out of the full House of Representatives in August. FAMM needs YOUR help to ensure this important bill passes the entire Senate and goes to the President for his signature.

We hope that you will join us next week by making these important calls!

To participate, mark your calendar for September 15. Contact information for your two senators as well as talking points will be listed here next week. Together we can make reform happen!
